»[…] I want to understand. And when other people understand […] it gives me a satisfaction like a feeling of home.«
Hannah Arendt in an interview
with Günter Gaus, 28 October 1964
This statement of Hannah Arendt moves me a lot; it captures a leitmotif that passionately drives me in my work.
As a person with a great interest in political|social environment and surroundings, I perceive and observe intensively. I want to understand and share my understanding with my environment.
As a person who has lived and worked on three continents, I am fascinated by the encounter of several ideas; without wanting to measure the truth of one of them.
As a professional lecturer and systemic consultant|coach, I aim to perceive my counterpart holistically and in comprehension.
I attach great importance to a competent presentation of complex topics. It is important to me to convey even difficult subjects with creativity and humour. I want to reach people in their language.
Various stations in my life – including Israel, England and Brazil – have left a lasting impression on me and enriched me with valuable experiences. I have made films and cared for people with disabilities in London, worked for a large company in São Paulo, taught the German language, imported and sold nostalgic tin toys and worked in an advertising agency in Tel Aviv. During my six-year stay in Israel, I also immersed myself in Jewish studies at a Talmud school and worked for a foundation for Holocaust survivors. I went on to study a degree programme which was significantly influenced by these diverse international practical experiences and which enabled me to combine them academically into one structure: From 2004 to 2010 I studied Applied Cultural Studies, Religious Studies, (Economic-) Ethnology and Jewish Studies in Münster. This was followed in 2017 by further qualification as a systemic consultant and coach at the Institute for Applied Psychology (Prof. Dr. Manuel Tusch) in Cologne.
If you have any questions about my work, my philosophy or my person, I would be happy to hear from you!
